Full payment is required in advance to confirm enrollment in any class. Payments can be made by CASH or CHECK or Order Online . You can enroll by mail, online form or at the school office.

Students should dress appropriate to the weather. Proper attire includes soft soled shoes. (Tennis or deck shoes - no black soles) Sweater and or jacket, Sunglasses with safety strap. Hats and gloves optional but recommended and Sunscreen. Foul weather gear is recommended for Basic Coastal Cruising class and above.

A free make up class will be provided, (space available) to a student who fails to meet any of the required objectives for certification. Students must have attended each scheduled class and have taken all prerequisite classes with Capt. Lyman Stuart. All classes must have been taken within 6 months.

Students are encouraged to attend all of their classes as scheduled. If regular class times are inconvenient, private instruction should be arranged. Make ups are possible if the following conditions exist: Students must notify Capt. Lyman Stuart if a class will be missed in advance. Make-ups can only take place if there is space available in another similar class. There is a $25.00 fee for each make up.

3 day notice is required for full credit or refund. 50% charge for less than 3 day notice and no credit or refund for failure to show without notice or withdrawal after commencement of class.

No refunds available once the classes have started. Cost of books and course materials may be deducted from refund if used by student. Students may transfer unattended courses upon school approval.
