Company Bio
Welcome to Handy Boat, one of Maine’s premier boat yards, located in the heart of Casco Bay. Since 1934
We have been building, repairing, maintaining and storing boats of various sizes and shapes.
Our crew is made up of people who love boats and boating and are enthusiastic about taking
care of your vessel. Our mission is to provide quality work at an affordable price to our
customers. Located on some of the best east coast cruising coastline, Handy’s is a logical
destination for an overnight stay or an extended layover.
Our year round crew of skilled mechanics, riggers, fiberglass technicians, painters and
carpenters are ready to meet your needs and expectations. We are dealers for Westerbeke,
Universal and Yanmar engines and are members of the Maine Marine Trades Association and
the American Boat Builders and Repairers Association.
During the summer months our staff of dock attendants and launch drivers keep the waterfront
operations running smoothly. Transient moorings, ice, water, gas and diesel fuel are available
at the dock. You can enjoy a lunch or dinner at the Falmouth Sea Grill Restaurant located at
the head of the pier. Near by the Falmouth Village offers: grocery stores, movie theaters,
book stores and department stores as well as the usual fleet of fast food restaurants.
Located only 5 miles north of Portland (Maine’s largest City) we are close to busses, trains,
rental cars and the Portland Jetport.
Handy Boat Service stores 170 boats in the winter and
has about 300 members accessing beautiful Casco Bay
during the summer season.
